Sensory Support and Play Session- All ages

Laurel- 4th Monday of every month at 4 pm(click here for exact dates)

Sensory Time is a unique program that is designated for those with special needs and their families. This two hour program is come-and-go. Inclusion at the library aims to make our space fun and safe for those with varying disabilities. Because safety is paramount to us, this is not a drop-off event. Caregivers must remain with their child.

A Sensory Experience:
While still having access to all the usual library amenities, we offer extra fun at Sensory Time:
~tactile arts and crafts
~games
~sensory toys
~a quiet zone
~finding support from others in the community

Each month there is a different theme, which offers a wide variety of sensory fun and art to take home. Sometimes we can get a little messy. But if messy isn’t your thing, not to worry! We have un-messy fun stuff too! We have extra special friends who like to help out at Sensory time. The Park Place Garden Club come to educate and play games with us. The Social Club brings helping hands and fantastic support. We even have a furry, four-legged friend named Banjo, and his awesome human, who like to visit during Sensory Time.

This is a wonderful place to connect and share with other families in the special needs community and to find extra support.
