Officially named the Library Outreach Technology Trolley for Interlibrary Engagement, Lottie brings books, learning, and essential library services to every corner of Jones County — especially to those who may not otherwise have access.

Since January 2025, Lottie has reached over 4,400 community members across the county. Every other Wednesday and Friday, she visits Soso and Sandersville, MS — with plans to expand to even more locations soon. Lottie has also visited classrooms in local schools and homeschools, offering storytime, crafts, trolley tours, and hands-on learning about all that the library has to offer. One of her most meaningful visits was to the incredible children at Magnolia Pediatric Extended Care, where she provided sensory services to our neurodivergent patrons in a fun and inclusive way.

As we enter the 2025–2026 fiscal year, our mission is bold and simple: put a library card and a book in the hands of every child in Jones County. To help bring this vision to life, Lottie is working closely with school librarians to ensure that, with parental permission, every student in city and county schools can check out books during her visits.

With school budgets stretched thinner each year, the library aims to bridge the gap — offering students access to titles they may not find on their school shelves.
