The Genealogy department is located upstairs at the Laurel-Jones County Library.
It is open:
Wednesdays: 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Thursdays & Fridays: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm (Closed 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm for lunch)
Saturdays by appointment only. Appointments must be made one week in advance. To make an appointment, email geneal@laurel.lib.ms.us or call 601-428-4313 ext. 111 during department hours.
There is no Genealogy department at the Ellisville Public Library. Genealogy materials cannot be accessed outside department hours.
Genealogy is one of the fastest-growing hobbies in the United States. The Laurel-Jones County Library System, Inc. (LJCLS) provides a Genealogy Department with a trained genealogist to assist you in how to trace and document your family history.
