Pokémon Go Walking Club @LAU

Pokemon Go Walking Club

Play Pokémon Go downtown with other Pokémon trainers of all ages (This still includes you, adults.)! We’ll meet at the library and walk together downtown, following routes and stopping for raids. Make sure you wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sunscreen. Don’t forget your water bottle and your phone!

A parent or adult guardian must accompany trainers under the age of 14.

Mocktails and Masterpieces @LAU

Join us for a fun-filled evening of painting your own masterpiece while sipping on delicious mocktails!

This time, we are painting a beach scene in watercolors while sipping some summer-themed drinks.

This is an adults-only event. Tickets are $10 per person. There is a limit of 20 participants. Get your spot reserved today by visiting the circulation desk at either the Laurel or Ellisville branch.

Sensory Support & Play Session @LAU

Looking for a sensory-friendly, inclusive library experience? Join us for a program specially created for individuals with special needs, along with their families and caregivers.

What to Expect:

  • Stories
  • Hands-on sensory activities
  • A calm, low-distraction environment
  • Access to a designated Chill Zone

We welcome individuals of all ages and abilities and strive to create a warm, supportive space for everyone.

 

 Please Note:

This is a special event for individuals with special needs and their caregivers.

This is not a drop-off event—parents or caregivers must remain in the library at all times.

Come explore the world with us—just in a different way!

Take & Make Mini Art Contest @LAU

Come to the library and take home what you need to paint a mini-masterpiece!

Rules:

  • Only one entry per person
  • Any media is allowed.
  • Original works only.
  • Must be family appropriate.
  • Must be handed to a staff member for registration by July 14th at 6 pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
